HARDWARE Installation

The following Hardware Installation Guide is designed to assist installers in conducting on-site hardware training for clients.

User Management - Add New User

  • 1) Menu
  • 2) User Mgt.
  • 3) New User
  • 4) Enter the User ID and Name. Click OK on the User ID field to input your preferred User ID. The Name field can be skipped for now and updated later through the software
  • 5) Select the User Role: choose "Normal User" for a regular employee, or "Super Admin" for an employee who needs access to the device's menu to manage the system
  • 6) Enroll either or any combination of Fingerprint, Face, Card, or Password (at least one option is required)
  • 7) Once enrollment is complete, the device will save the templates immediately. Press ESC repeatedly until you return to the main screen

User Management - delete User

  • 1) Menu
  • 2) User Mgt.
  • 3) All User
  • 4) Enter the User ID you wish to delete
  • 5) Select Delete User

Refer to How To Manage Resigned Staff if you prefer to delete the user through the software.

User Management - EDIT User

  • 1) Menu
  • 2) User Mgt.
  • 3) All User
  • 4) Enter the User ID you wish to edit
  • 5) Select the field you wish to edit
  • 6) Once editing is complete, the device will save the profile immediately. Press ESC repeatedly until you return to the main screen

Network Connection - Ethernet

To set up the connection on the device, ensure that the software can connect to the device via a LAN cable.

  • 1) Menu
  • 2) COMM
  • 3) Ethernet
  • 4) Enter Network Settings on IP Address, Subnet Mask and Gateway accordingly
  • 5) Once the Network Settings are fully entered, the device will save the settings automatically. Press ESC repeatedly until you return to the main screen

Network Connection - WiFi

This applies to models with Wi-Fi connectivity. To set up the connection on the device, ensure that the software can connect to the device via Wi-Fi.

  • 1) Menu
  • 2) COMM
  • 3) Ethernet
  • 4) Turn on DHCP
  • 5) Press ESC to go back to COMM
  • 6) Select Wireless Network
  • 7) Advanced
  • 8) Turn off DHCP
  • 9) Enter Network Settings on IP Address, Subnet Mask and Gateway accordingly
  • 10) Once the Network Settings are fully entered, the device will save the settings automatically. Press ESC to go back to Wireless Network
  • 11) Select your Wi-Fi SSID and enter the password to establish the connection

Data Management

To delete unwanted old attendance logs, refer to Software User Guide if you prefer to delete old logs from software.

  • 1) Menu
  • 2) Data Mgt.
  • 3) Delete Data
  • 4) Delete Attendance Data
  • 5) Delete By Time Range
  • 6) Enter the Start Time and End Time for deletion

USB Manager

This applies to models with a USB port. If you experience a network connection failure, using a thumb drive to retrieve attendance data from the device is an alternative method.

  • 1) Insert a thumb drive into device (the thumb drive must be formatted as FAT32)
  • 2) Menu
  • 3) USB Manager
  • 4) Download
  • 5) Attendance Data
  • 6) Select Date range to download
  • 7) Refer to the Software User Guide for instructions on transferring data from the thumb drive to the software

Attendance Search

To view attendance logs stored on the device.

  • 1) Menu
  • 2) Attendance Search
  • 3) Attendance Record
  • 4) Enter the desired User ID
  • 5) Select Time range to view records

System Info

Check the Device Capacity for housekeeping purposes. The Super Admin should perform "Delete Data" in Data Management when the available space is running low.
