How To Troubleshoot Network Connection – With Wi-Fi
  • 1) Ensure that the icon in the upper-right corner of the devices displays green lines between the two computers to indicate a good network connection. If the devices are not connected to the network, the icon will display red lines between the two computers
  • 2) Log into MENU -> COMM -> ETHERNET
  • 3) Enable DHCP, and the IP Address will refresh automatically after a short time
  • 4) Ensure that IP Address, Subnet Mask and Gateway have all become 0.0.0.0
  • 5) Then go to MENU -> COMM -> WIRELESS NETWORK
  • 6) Select your Wi-Fi SSID and enter the Wi-Fi password
  • 7) To input an alphanumeric password or one containing special characters:
  • For non-touchscreen models: Use the right arrow key (> key) to switch between numbers, alphabets, and special characters
  • For touchscreen models: Tap the 123 key to toggle between numbers, alphabets, and special characters
  • 8) The device will connect to the Wi-Fi once the correct password is entered
  • If the device displays "CONNECTING" for more than one minute, it means the password entered is incorrect
  • To re-enter the correct password, connect to any other Wi-Fi SSID with any password, eg. 12345678, in order to erase the WiFi Profile in the device. After that, you can reconnect to the actual Wi-Fi SSID with the correct password
  • If the device displays "Obtaining IP address" for more than one minute, it means the network router has failed to assign an IP Address to the device
  • You can try restarting your internet router. If the problem persists, please contact your IT team for assistance in resolving the issue
  • 9) Once the Wi-Fi is connected, as shown in the picture above, press on CONNECTED to obtain the IP Address, Subnet Mask and Gateway
  • 10) Take note of the IP Address, Subnet Mask and Gateway, as you will need to enter them in the next step. Eg, 192.168.1.103, 255.255.255.0, and 192.168.1.254 respectively
  • 11) Go back to MENU -> COMM -> WIRELESS NETWORK
  • 12) Go down to the last menu options, Advanced. Press on it
  • 13) Disable DHCP, then manually enter the IP Address, Subnet Mask and Gateway
  • 14) On your computer, search for and open Command Prompt. Type ping 192.168.1.103 and press Enter
  • If the network connection is successful, you will see a reply from 192.168.1.103
  • If you see messages like REQUEST TIMED OUT or DESTINATION HOST UNREACHABLE, contact your IT team for network troubleshooting
  • 15) If the network connection is successful, go to your computer, run BIOXCESS TA Software
  • 16) Go to the following: Device Setup -> TERMINAL SETUP
  • 17) Double click on your device, update IP Address or host to 192.168.1.103, then Save
